SEN Services

About Us

With nearly 20 years of working with Children and Young People, Educate Lincs has a wide and varied experience base.
Emily is an experienced and passionate neuro diverse SEN professional who, in one OFSTED report was called "Formidable" when it came to ensuring that the most vulnerable students received the support they required. Emily has been working with children and young people for over 20 years in a range of settings and roles.  including working with vulnerable children in Children's Services,, working in a challenging inner city setting and undertaking teacher training in a special SEMH setting. She has been  a member of a Senior Leadership Team in a busy Secondary Academy in Lincolnshire. In this role she was both SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Emily also took on the role as SENCo across the trust which encompassed a Primary Academy.

Emily is in the privaledged position of being a neurodiverse adult who has first hand lived experience of navigating the education system as a child who required additional support and is able to use this knowledge and understanding to fully support children, families and schools.  Emily holds the following qualifications and relevant training

  • BA (hons) Music
  • QTS (Nottingham Trent University)
  • P.G.C.E (Nottingham Trent University)
  • NASENCo (Nottingham Trent University)
  • Multi-Academy Trust SEND Leadership (NASEN)
  • SEND Review Training (NASEN and Whole School SEN)
  • Certificate of Psychometric Testing, Assessment and Access Arrangements (Level 7)
  • CEOP Ambassador.
  • Advanced Safeguarding.
  • Whole School SEN Content Associate
  • Level 5 (Dyslexia)
  • Accredited Teacher Status (British Dyslexia Association)
  • Makaton trained
  • Licenced Thrive Practitioner

Many other certificated training courses to support the role of SENCo and DSL.
